Wood white - Leptidea sinapis


Family: Pieridae.

Flight Time: May-June / July-August.

Size: 36-48mm

Altitude: 0-1900m


Quite a rare species in the UK, but more common in other parts of Europe. It has a slow flight often close to the ground. There are two similar species in Europe, the colour of the antenna is characteristic, being black and grey above.
