Dryad - Minois dryas


Family: Satyridae.

Flight Time: June-September.

Size: 54-70mm

Altitude: 100-1600m


These were reasonably scarce in the forests near Axat, in the Pyrenées Orientales. They had a tendency to try to hide deep within shrubs when disturbed, the blue pencilled ocelli are characteristic.
